Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms - Earl Scruggs

Dedicated to my pal, Garazon. He has a countdown on his blog that is prefaced "___ many days until I'm back in the arms of my angel!" Everytime I visited his blog, this song would start playing in my head as I read that.

That says he's in love; it says I'm nuts.

And in an hour or so it's going to be 29 days til I roll in my sweet baby's arms! :) Can't wait to be there, and in Cyprus too ;) Definitely in love!

Man I haven't heard that song in so long, I couldn't even begin to guess! I was never much into bluegrass music but I can still remember seeing him and Lester Flatt on one of the Beverly Hillbillies shows, I can;t remember what song they did, well I know they did the theme song, but they performed once or twice on the show itself. Well anyway I do remember actually listening to them play and getting into it a little bit.
Thanks for all you do Mike, I enjoy your posts a lot, don't get time to comment as much as I'd like, but I do come read about every day ;) Alison does too I think, she's always commenting to me how clever you are and how funny too... but she hasn't said you were nuts... yet ;) LOL
take care

Give'er some time, she's a clever lass, she'll figger it out. I don't mind my friends calling me nuts but I'm not crazy about total strangers doin' it.

I like bluegrass and one of my favorite contemporary artists is Alison Krause. I'll post one of her vids, but think I already have put in one. I get carried away with these things sometimes, but I spent several hours in YouTube and the other places looking at vids. All of these songs are ones that I like.

It's all right about seldom commenting, just to know that my friends stop by and see a bit of my world now 'n then makes me happy. It makes me happy too, to see my friends happy.

There's some more bluegrass in the vids, "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" with Scruggs and an all-star cast performing on Letterman and I saw the original show when it first aired. Steve Martin plays some banjo on it.

Wish I could edit instead of having to add.

That sounded as tho I thought Alison was a stranger. Far from it, she's a Black Sheep now.

BAAAAA!
