Big Hits on a Little Topic

Since I got the Feedjit feed, it's been fun to see the various places and people that find this blog. There have been hits from all over the world and quite a few states here in the U.S.

Google has provided the most fascinating statistics, though. This blog has had recent activity from being listed in the search engine for various news articles I've cited and commented upon, but by and far the largest amt. of hits have been for the Gay Irish Dwarfs article I wrote. We're up close to the top for those search terms: Gay+Irish+Dwarfs.

Since my article was tongue-in-cheek and nothing to do with any sort of fetish, I'm sure most of the visitors are disappointed. (I've never gone out with a dwarf, but I have been told by some of my dates that I was a mental midget)

I'm not quite sure what to think about it all. Sure, I'm glad for the hits, but I also wouldn't want anyone to think that this is some sort of "kinky" or fetish-type blog. (although I HAVE been thinking about writing something about my fondness for pantyhose...)

Recently this blog got a hit to an article I wrote: "My Sister's Feet", and following the entry URL, found out that the visitor had come from a Google search "I+Love+My+Sister's+Feet".

Hey, I'm no prude, each to his own, but...that's just a little TOO kinky for me.

Maybe I need to be a little more careful how I title my posts?

Good grief, two hits in a day on "My Sister's Feet".

Oh mercy, had a hit to one of the first articles in here "Uh...honey?"

It was a link (now invalid) to a webcam showing the huge flow of water over the Lake Texhoma dam.

Oh, and a guy and wife who went over a spillway.

The person was looking for information on Texas+theaters+glory+holes.

OMG....I don't think I'd ever read your post about my feet!! If I had, I'm sure I tried to forget it! LOL! I did walk to the mailbox lots of times, but Dad didn't let me get the mail....remember? As you well know, I still would rather go barefoot than wear shoes of any kind. My bottoms of my feet are still like shoe leather. Now I entertain the grandkids by picking up stuff with my toes. Yes, and pinching them if need be. Your articles are interesting to most anyone, Mike. Congratulations on your "success."

Yes, I remember Dad being anal about the mail. The thing I never forgave him for was opening up my mail.

Thanks for your kind words, sis.

Someone from Dublin hit on "sister+feet" again.

Ditto to Sharon's remarks, you always have something interesting to read here Mike, Kudos to you! And congrats to Sharon for having popular feet! LOL

You know its funny to see some of these search terms people enter and then find their way to our posts on these blogs. I noticed the one the other day with Gay Dwarves too, these things never seem to enter our minds when we start writing these things do they? I bet we piss off a few perverts when they come looking for something entirely different! LOL Well its see where a lot of our hits come from and how they find us. Sort of amazing too how quick the robots are to find new posts and how fast there are available in a search. Although in some cases it may be a bit out of place. As you know over the last couple of years Alison and I have shared a few music by way of YouTube and Of course I had to go and add all the keywords to the ones I posted, which may have been a mistake. From the very first days of our meeting I have always called Alison my Cyprus Angel. So every video I posted had those keywords in it, Alison, Cyprus Angel, love etc... well little did I know there is a soft porn star having a very similar name so now in the related videos section to ours are some really embarrassing ones! :o) I wonder if the key words are changed if it will make a difference now. i need to check.

It still amazes me how much the technology is growing and the things we have available compared to even just a few years ago. incredible. I have tolaugh to myself thinking back to the mid 90's when I had my first computer and was so happy when I was able to go from an 8 MHZ to a 64meg! LOL Well i never actually got online with it, ok I dd once or twice but it took like 15 minutes to just get Internet Explorer 3.something loaded! And the modem was really useless, cant even remember the speed now.. something like 7 or 14k! hell now you can surf the web from your cell phone.. oops getting a bit off topic from the post here.. sorry, you know I am easily distracted, even more so now with my cyprus angel :)

Quite a few hits are looking for information about the feed itself.

According to Feedjit, 36 percent of the hits are from outside the US.

I wouldn't pay a bit of attention to "gay" or "Irish" or even "dwarfs", but it was the combo. of the three I found hilarious. I'm not homophobic, nor do I hold a grudge against the Irish or any dwarf, not that I even know any Irish or little people.

OTOH, those dad-gum straight French giants tend to piss me off....

Just noticed someone found this blog because, when Google indexed the site, it picked up one of the news stories I have on the right hand column.

They were looking for photos of the people and plane that was recently found in Lake Meredith.

Last I heard, they had found no remains.

I have the same strange effect. Was it premeditated? A little. My article was "Sex Toys for Dogs".

http://nomadicjoe.blogspot.com/2008/10/sex-toys-for-dogs-i-am-not-kidding.html

I saw these funny pics and added..well you can check them yourselves.. anyway, I suddenly got all kinds of traffic from all over the world to my blog to see that.

Nothing else, sadly, ever seemed to interest them. And then I thought, geeez, what kinds of pervs ARE out there?

I am trying to think of other topics which will inspire more traffic to my blog.
I guess it had to be unusual and related to sex, right?

Female Robot Sex Slaves?

Food Fetish in the White House?

Ass-riding elderly hookers?
(a fictional news story about grannies who make traditional rugs in a Spanish town that travel about on donkeys)

That's the winner. I think I will try that and see how I can improve my blog ratings!!

Thanks for visiting and posting, Nomad!

I suppose there's loads of ways to drive traffic to one's blog or website. I'd think that anytime some celeb. or politician is in the headlines would be the time to write about them, or even mention them in the post. I have a few articles about politics, enough to have created a label for it, but I sure wouldn't want that subject to be as contentious in here as it is everywhere else.

Google does a great job of indexing this site; I've posted something and found a hit on it within the hour!

I get a lot of hits on the music videos I post; the most hits are from when I or someone else has commented on the vid and that is traweled by a search engine along with the vid. post.

Thanks for posting!
