Guess I'd best start saving my pennies, right little brother? For about a thousand years, that is! What's your second choice for a Christmas present?

I first saw this in a complimentary issue of Yachting. It doesn't go very fast, something like ten miles an hour, but it can easily cross the Atlantic w/out refueling.

It's also very stable with several tons of lead along the keel line, almost impossible to capsize. Two engines give peace of mind.

It's just the right size, too, able to be operated by the owner and probably only one other, such as a husband and wife. It's not the prettiest boat, but very functional and well-built. I think the interior of this one is how I'd like "mine" furnished.

They don't show it, but there's another tiny "cabin" right behind the helm, just the right size for a cabin. That makes for seven people, counting the doubles in the three staterooms, and even though they glossed over it, there's room for two more in the crew quarters.

Nine people on that small of a boat might be too many, though!

I think the price for a new one is on the order of 4.5 million.

The cabin behind the helm...just the right size for a captain, meant to say.
