Tusk - Fleetwood Mac

Hadn't heard this song in a long time, but it was part of the soundtrack to the pilot episode of The Americans I just watched.  I even had to look it up to see who had done it. (brain fart, the only thing I can attribute it to...then again, it was very early in the a.m.)

It was weird, Alison, me not remembering who did the song- OTOH, I was so taken w/ the TV show that I could barely think of anything else, it was that good.

After I found out, I listened to a lot more Fleetwood Mac tunes. They've been around quite a while, but I didn't like their earliest stuff and like most of the rest of the world, didn't really get into them until Rumours. After that, there were only a handful of songs, both as a group and individually, that I liked enough to buy.

I have a great memory, it's just that as I get older, some small gaps have started to appear...it's only been trivia and trivial things so far and I'm not particularly worried about it, only annoyed. I think that,as much as I still love to learn, that with each new piece of information, something older has to go so the new stuff will have a place!

I sure agree ,it seems I am very bad this last year at remembering stuff, I remember laughing and sometimes getting exasperated with my mam and my grandmother when they confused names in the family and called me by one of the other 9 grandkids' names , but sure enough I keep calling Chester Costa now , guess its because they begin with the same letter , and worse still ,when visiting my brother his new womans name is having the same letter with his ex and its so hard to stop calling the new one by th eold ones name.
Re Fleetwood Mac you are right , I guess I also like more of the newer stuff , but hearing just the sound of Stevie Nicks voice always adds a quality sound to each song.

I'd highly recommend The Americans - it's on hiatus right now, but the second season has ended and it's absolutely brilliant. I keep meaning to write some reviews of the movies and TV shows I've watched and really need to do so.

My ex's name was Nancy and one of my sister's name is Sandy and I got those tangled up sometimes, but her husband's name is Mickey and my sister would sometimes address me and say "Mickey...uh Mikey, Mike." Speaking of getting older, I was showing my other sister a spot on my arm - she's a nurse and I was asking her if she thought it unusual and if I should be concerned. "Nah." she said "Just from age." "Ha ha ha ha! screeched Sandy. "Liver spots!" I wanted to, but didn't point out the gray in her hair and the lines on her face and the cellulite on her thighs the last time I saw her...I'm sure she's aware of them. Good.
