I am amazed at how many people do post for memorial day on Facebook and other places .I think in general the percentage of people who have respect for those who fight for their country is very high , im sure there are only a few scumbags that do not have respect , some very sad posts on Facebook today , but there is no happy things about war and loss is there ,but its lovely to see people remembering their grandparent and family who have fought and keep them in their memory always with appreciation and respect.

My grandmother always went to the cemetery on Memorial Day and laid flowers on loved one's graves. I remember going with my dad when he took his parents to go see their daughter/his baby sister's grave; she died of diphtheria before he was born. The thing I remember most was her scolding me for standing on a grave.

I saw a lot of tributes, but not as many as I thought I would. For far too many,it's just a 3-day weekend and a time to grill hamburgers and drink beer.

Thanks f/ posting.
